Made with Hue & Me yarn and 8mm circular needles, this top down beauty was created in one weekend. September in Michigan is a very different experience than September in North Carolina. It was cooler than usual, bute the sun was still hot, so of course I decided to get started on a sweater earlier in the year. I saw these 6 skeins in a pile waiting to be put up and decided to make something of them - partially used but still with enough to get some length, I grabbed my needles, stitch markers, and started with the blue. Increasing every other round for a comfy fit I kept knitting till it ran out. After that I decided it was times to split off the arms and went back to the body with the purple, then the green and decided to leave it at a crop (as I often do when working on the body). Then added in a white rib bottom and called it a day. Next I added purple on the arms (sleeve island here we come) and decided pink for the rest would be perfect. Added the white cuffs and admired my work. When I did the try on, the neck was a little wide so I decided to add a wide, roll over turtle neck. Then the Arrowood color skein just had to be put around the cuffs, bottom, and neck so I used a crochet hook to pull loops through each rib as a trim. I wore it out to Joann (of course I went to Joann for more Hue & Me on my birthday) with shorts and sandals on the sunny September day my birthday fell on that year and absolutely loved it.
